Tennessee College Of Applied Technology Jackson Strategic Plan 2022-2025
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Jackson (TCAT Jackson) Strategic Plan (2022-2025) focuses on student success and workforce development, aligning with Tennessee's goal of 55% adult postsecondary credential attainment by 2025. The plan is guided by the TBR Strategic Plan and addresses key policy pillars (Open Access, Completion, Community & Workforce Development) through cross-cutting themes (strengthening collaboration, harnessing innovation, enhancing institutional & operational capacity, and fulfilling equity). Specific objectives include expanding early postsecondary opportunities (EPSOs), increasing dual-enrollment and adult student headcount, offering hybrid/online courses, providing learning supports, expanding work-based learning, implementing a student withdrawal intervention program, strengthening relationships with business and industry, increasing apprenticeship participation, and improving placement and licensure rates. The plan also includes a detailed strategy for workforce development at the new Blue Oval City campus, focusing on dual-enrollment programs, open-enrollment training, a Technical Workforce Middle College, and apprenticeship programs.
