The Board discussed an application for 816 West Oak Street, which involves the replacement of existing glass block windows with new composite casement windows on the front and side facades and the application of a new stucco finish. Members discussed concerns regarding safety, window scale, and code compliance for window height, while acknowledging the project as an improvement to the building's exterior appearance.
The meeting addressed three zoning variance applications. The board granted a continuance for application 34-26 pending the receipt of subpoenaed utility records. Application 36-26 was deferred due to the absence of the applicant's principal. For application 42-26, the board reviewed requests for several dimensional variances, including lot area, lot width, building height, and yard setbacks, for a proposed 50-unit apartment complex, with supporting testimony provided by the project's civil engineer.
