Union Adventist University's strategic plan is focused on transforming hope into measurable renewal and achieving its mission through decisive action over the next three years. The plan outlines eight key pillars: enrollment growth and student experience, academic innovation and program effectiveness, financial health and revenue growth, facilities and campus development, faculty and staff excellence, technology and infrastructure, collaboration and partnerships, and spiritual mission and campus culture. It aims to refine programs, stabilize finances, expand partnerships, strengthen the student experience, and ultimately achieve measurable impact through collective accountability and responsible stewardship.
The meeting was the final 'uGather' session of the semester, opened with a prayer focused on students facing finals week. Key discussions included announcements regarding the final family of worship service, the introduction of a new club, 'Elevate and Actis,' which is planning an on-campus student-led pitch competition for cash prizes in the following semester (March 7th). A significant portion of the session was dedicated to acknowledging and thanking Caleb Shaber for his leadership as the student leader of 'uGather' throughout the semester, who shared a message about the meaning of Christmas based on John 1:1-14, emphasizing that the Word became flesh. The session concluded with a prayer for students facing finals and an invitation for attendees to socialize with refreshments and caroling.
The document outlines proceedings from a 'uGather' session focused on Mid America camp focus week, which included worship music led by a praise team. Key announcements covered the final day for a spiritual journey survey, with emphasis on using the data to better serve attendees. The session featured presentations detailing three camps: Dakota Adventist Camps (discussing their two locations in South Dakota and North Dakota and small camper ratios fostering strong relationships), Camp Heritage (highlighting experiences, friendships built through shared challenges, and Missouri location), and Northstar Camp. There was also information shared regarding 'The Pitch,' a student-led competition for cash prizes with mentorship opportunities and a path to a larger competition called 'Hive.' Furthermore, an announcement detailed a worship leadership workshop scheduled for Sunday, including lunch, and a reminder about an upcoming family worship event.
