Board meetings and strategic plans from City of Rosenberg
The Board of Directors adopted amended Bylaws as previously approved by the City Council and reelected the current slate of officers. Standing Finance and Policy committees were formally terminated in favor of the full Board performing those oversight functions. The Board reviewed the monthly financial report for July 2026 and the quarterly investment report, and received updates on economic development activities, including recruitment and retention efforts. Additionally, the Board authorized the Executive Director to negotiate a retail recruitment contract with The Retail Coach, passed a resolution confirming the regular meeting schedule and location, and rescheduled the November meeting to avoid a holiday conflict. Following an executive session, the Board authorized the execution of an amendment and termination agreement for the Rosenberg Business Park development.
The Board reviewed and accepted the Parkland Dedication Fund No. 221 report regarding revenues, expenditures, and pavilion and athletic field fees. There was a discussion and subsequent approval regarding the conversion of existing tennis courts into pickleball courts at Sunset Park, noting that RDC funds will cover the costs and that necessary fencing will be installed. Additionally, the Board received informational updates on various park projects, including roof and gutter replacements, LED lighting installations, playground improvements, and ongoing developments at the Seabourne Creek Regional Sports Complex.
