RFP-27-01 Public Safety Radio Communication Upgrade
Framingham State University seeks to replace the Framingham State University Police Department’s existing public-safety radio communications system with a complete, reliable, scalable solution; this is an open-market procurement for equipment and services, not a grant program. The contractor will assess, design, furnish, install, program, configure, test, document, and support a system with dispatch consoles, radios, antennas and network equipment, power and monitoring components, and a backup dispatch system deployable within 15 minutes; it must support conventional analog and P25 communications, with encryption where applicable. The contract is for three years with two optional annual renewals and includes staff training and a full-term maintenance agreement; bidders need at least five years of relevant land-mobile-radio experience and must attend the mandatory site visit.
